The schedule of events leading up to the 100th edition of the Impruneta Grape Festival—taking place this year on Sunday, September 27, 2026—will kick off on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with the traditional dinner hosted by the Sant’Antonio district (*Rione*).
Established in 1926, the Impruneta Grape Festival predates the national celebration instituted in 1930. In 1932, the creation of the four districts transformed the event from a simple agricultural festival into a creative competition involving the entire town. After a hiatus during World War II, the event resumed in 1950, growing to become one of the most anticipated occasions for the Impruneta community.
On the last Sunday of September, Piazza Buondelmonti hosts the parade of floats. These have evolved from simple rural scenes into spectacular, complex musical productions that tell the story of the community—its identity and its changes—through the creativity of the Pallò, Fornaci, Sant’Antonio, and Sante Marie districts.
