O flos colende - Sacred music festival in Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral

The 29th edition of the O flos Colende sacred music festival is back at the Cathedral of Florence. The festival opens with a series of meditations accompanied by music.

The musical groups performing are the following: The Pilgrims Gospel Choir (March 12), Tuscae Voces (March 17), Cappella Musicale della Basilica di San Lorenzo (March 26) and Cappella Musicale della Cattedrale di S. Maria del Fiore (April 9). Admission is free.

The festival will end on May 14 with an event dedicated to Saint Francis: the Ensemble Micrologus will perform a selection of laude from the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The heart of the program will be the first musical reconstruction of the Canticle of Brother Sun, based on the oldest manuscript sources. Admission to this concert is free, with mandatory reservation (from April 20, 2026).
