Rediscovering Hélène de Montgeroult - Accademia del fortepiano

Classical music, opera and ballet

On Friday, April 10th, at the "Bartolomeo Cristofori" Fortepiano Academy, there will be a meeting with music and words to learn about one of the most important female figures in fortepiano music, Hélène de Montgeroult, who became a Florentine by adoption.

The program includes music by Montgeroult, Dussek, Cramer, Oginsky, Leidesdorf, Mussini, and Schoberlechner.

On this occasion, the Pleyel fortepiano opus 11398 (Paris, 1840), recently donated to the academy by Mrs. Maria Carla Saccardi, will be presented.
