On Saturday, July 18, at the Auditorium of Santa Maria Vergine della Croce al Tempio in Florence, the Centro di Produzione Musicale Toscana presents the concert The Golden Age of the Mandolin Between Florence and Naples.
The "E. Marucelli" Plectrum Quartet takes the audience on a fascinating journey through the sounds of plucked string instruments, exploring a repertoire that flourished between the late nineteenth century and the early decades of the twentieth century.
The programme celebrates the deep artistic connection between Naples and Florence, two cities linked by a rich musical heritage, through works of remarkable charm and virtuosity by masters such as Raffaele Calace, Carlo Munier and Enrico Marucelli.
