SUPERFLEX - There Are Other Fish In The Sea

Exhibitions

From 14 April to 2 August 2026, the Courtyard of Palazzo Strozziwill host There Are Other Fish In The Sea, a site-specific installation created by Superflex, a Danish collective internationally renowned for works that explore the relationship between art and the social, economic and environmental dynamics of our time.

The installation, curated by the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and the Fondazione Hillary Merkus Recordati, in collaboration with Kunsthal Spritten (Aalborg, Denmark)—which will host a revamped version of the work upon its opening in 2027—envisions a future scenario in which rising sea levels will irreversibly alter human life on Earth. The project proposes a form of ‘interspecies architecture’, in which humans and non-humans can coexist.

SUPERFLEX - There Are Other Fish In The Sea

Exhibitions

The exhibition previews a future scenario marked by rising sea levels, proposing a project of ‘interspecies architecture’ in which humans and non-humans can coexist.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the 1966 flood in Florence, the Cortile serves as a starting point for promoting a shift in perspective regarding our relationship with the environment, challenging the traditional centrality of the human being.
