Formerly the garden of a Medici house, it became an Italian style garden in the XVII Century. At the end of the XIXth century the Director of the Museum of Archaeology of Florence decided to move in the garden and rebuild some Etruscan tombs, in order to recreate the provenance of the pieces displayed in the museum.
