Garden of Palazzo Medici Riccardi

The garden is set up simply and rationally, with features evoking 15th-Century gardens. The wall fountain with the Riccardi Hercules is north, the loggia closed by the Riccardi family is south. Donatello’s Judith and Holofernes originally stood there, together with numerousarchaeological pieces. Sumptuous banquets took place here, also including the one for Lorenzo il Magnifico’s wedding.
