Lituana Di Sabatino is a skilled artisan specialising in Commesso Fiorentino, an ancient and refined technique that requires both skill and creativity.
Lituana has been expressing this art in her work and restoration projects for over 20 years. Commesso Fiorentino is a Renaissance technique pioneered by the Medici family in the 16th century, which involves assembling pieces of shaped stone following the lines of a design, much like a jigsaw puzzle. It can be seen inside the Medici Chapels and in Palazzo Pitti.
