Villa Rucellai

Villa Rucellai, also known as Villa Il Pratello, is situated in the historic centre of Campi Bisenzio.

The building, which dates back to the 15th century, has always been owned by the noble Florentine Rucellai family, who have always had close ties to the history of Campi Bisenzio. The 15th-century structure, which in turn had been built on the site of an older 13th-century building (of which a tower and an arch remain), was subsequently renovated and embellished in the late 18th century.

The villa was purchased a few years ago by the town council and will shortly become one of the venues of the Casa della Cultura. The villa is surrounded by a park, which has also been restored and is open to the public.
