
Since the 1970s, the sixteenth-century villa located near San Casciano in Val di Pesa has been home to the main headquarters in Italy of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness).
The main building houses the Museum of Sacred Art (MOSA), which preserves a collection of sculptures and paintings, including a series of paintings by Giampaolo Tomassetti dedicated to the Mahabharata, an ancient epic poem.
Villa Vrindavana, surrounded by an 85-hectare estate, is a spiritual place offering conferences, yoga classes and workshops, a vegetarian centre and a cow sanctuary.
