The rose that grew from concrete

Exhibitions

Awaiting its definitive renaissance, scheduled for 2026 with the opening of the Sant'Orsola Museum, this large space in the heart of Florence is opening to visitors with a new exhibition, a site-specific event that will run from early September until the new year.
The exhibition is entitled The rose that grew from concrete and features 13 creations by Italian and foreign artists, who were asked to find inspiration within the bare, rough walls of the large former convent, military complex, and manufacturing facility that occupies an entire block in the San Lorenzo district

The works of Chiara Bettazzi, Bottega Bianco Bianchi Scagliole, Mireille Blanc, Bianca Bondi, Davidovici & Ctiborsky, Marion Flament, Federico Gori, Beate Höing, Flora Moscovici, Chris Oh, Elise Peroi, Clara Rivault, Shubha Taparia fill the empty space and offer visitors a kaleidoscope of different techniques, colors, and materials.
