The city of Florence has a special tourist card, the Firenze Card. It costs € 85, is valid for 72 hours and it provides you priority admission to museums, villas and historical gardens located in Florence and surroundings (all the most important are included). With the Firenze Card Restart (free of charge) you can extend the validity for other 48 hours, for a total of 5 days!
Every card includes free access to museums for children and under 18 citizens belonging to the family of the cardholder. The activation of the card starts with the first use. The holder must personalize the Card (not transferable) with his name and surname.
It is possible to buy it online, by downloading the Firenze Card App on Google Play or Itunes Stores, and enter the voucher number received after purchasing… then start your visit as soon as you like! You can also purchase/collect it from a series of museums and info points, either by credit card or by cash, just check where to go from the list of sales/collection points.
Reservations with Firenze Card: The direct priority access is for most of the museums; but for the Uffizi and the Galleria dell'Accademia you have to confirm the reservation (no extra charge) by calling the Firenze Musei ph. +39 055 294883), or in person at: Orsanmichele reservation desk (via de' Calzaiuoli), My Accademia bookshop or Opera Your Preview (via Por Santa Maria 13r).
