
1st Sunday of the month, museums for free
What better time to visit one of the city's great museums? It's low season and the first Sunday of the month, 1 March, marks the return of the Domenica al Museo (Sunday at the Museum) initiative, together with Domenica Metropolitana (Metropolitan Sunday)
Sunday at the Museum
A day of free admission for everybody, with a wide range of offerings from the State Museums. The museums involved are so many, and woldwide famous: Uffizi, Academy Gallery, Palazzo Pitti & Boboli garden, Bargello, Archaeological Mueum, Medici Chapels, Orsanmichele Complex, the so-called Cenacoli (Cenacles frescoed with Last supper scenes) and the Medici Villas.

Metropolitan Sunday
This initiative is only for residents of the Metropolitan City. On the first Sunday of the month, residents of the Metropolitan City can enter all the Civic Museums of Florence and Palazzo Medici Riccardi
The programme includes numerous themed guided tours and visits to the exhibitions currently on display at the various museums.
