1st Sunday of the month, State museums for free

What better time to visit one of the city's great museums? The next Sunday of the month (September 6, 2026) marks the return of the Domenica al Museo (Sunday at the Museum) initiative.

State Museums free of charge for everybody!

A day of free admission for everyone – Italians and foreigners alike – with a wide range of attractions on offer. Among the state-run museums, the Accademia Gallery and the Bargello Museums – namely the Medici Chapels, Palazzo Davanzati and Orsanmichele – will be open to the public.
