Birraio dell'Anno - Italian artisan beer festival

The event “Birraio dell’Anno”, taking place in Florence on 17 and 18 January 2026, is one of the most eagerly awaited occasions for lovers of Italian craft beer. For two days, the Teatro Cartiere Carrara is transformed into a true celebration of the national brewing scene, hosting a curated selection of breweries and producers chosen through votes by experts and industry professionals.

At the heart of the event are the 20 breweries shortlisted for the “Birraio dell’Anno” award, presenting their beers directly to an audience of enthusiasts. Alongside them are the candidates for the Emerging Brewer title and special selections such as the Fermento Italia corner, curated by the editorial team of Fermento Birra, as well as brewers ranked in the national Top 50, offering guided tastings and food pairings.
