Fan Hua Chinese Film Festival

The FánHuā Chinese Film Festival, scheduled to take place at Teatro La Compagnia in Florence from October 15 to 19, is a showcase dedicated to contemporary Chinese cinema and is part of the 50 Days of Cinema in Florence event.

The name “FánHuā” suggests a “variety of blooming flowers,” symbolizing the richness and diversity of Chinese film production. During the festival, films will be screened in their original language withItalian subtitles, and some showings will be introduced by critic Paolo Bertolin, who will provide insights into the directors and their works.

Among the featured titles: feature films, animated films, and short films, with themes ranging from the conflict between tradition and modernity, to the role of women, and the relationship with the environment.
