From September 3 to 6, the Japanese Film Festival in Tuscany returns to Florence for its third edition. The festival offers a journey through Japanese cinema, exploring the relationship between storytelling, landscape and territory, and the ways in which the environment becomes a central element of stories told on the big screen.
The programme brings together films from the past and contemporary works, as well as short and experimental productions, offering different perspectives on the relationship between individuals, communities and the environment, between tradition and modernity.
The festival is a Third Mission project of the DISU Department of the University for Foreigners of Siena, organised in collaboration with the Japan Foundation – Rome, the Tuscany Region and Fondazione Sistema Toscana, under the scientific and organisational direction of Maria Gioia Vienna.
