La Fierucola del Pane

Sunday , September 6, 2026 Piazza SS. Annunziata a Firenze will host the 43rd edition of the  Fierucola del Pane (The Bread Fair)

In September 1984, more than 150 years after the end of the Rificolona farmers' market, as a commitment to the rebirth of that market and the rural world that made it possible, the first Fierucola dedicated to bread was held in Piazza SS. Annunziata in Florence and considered the association's mother festival.

This edition will be dedicated to ancient and traditional grains, to those who continue to grow them, and to those who use that flour to bake bread once again. Farmers, millers, and bakers will be on hand to showcase a supply chain that can truly be short: from the field to the flour, from the flour to the bread.
