Special Openings, tours and workshops

On Sunday November 1st, 2026, State Museums will be free, as every first Sunday of the month. This month, in addition to the usual free admission, State museums will also offer free entry on November 4th, Armed Forces Day.

In Florence, visitors will be able to freely admire masterpieces exhibited in many important museums such as Galleria degli Uffizi, Archeological Museum, Galleria dell'Accademia, Bargello Museum, Medici Chapels, Corridoio Vasariano (reservation required), Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens, Medici Villas of Castello and Petraia, and San Marco Museum. On Wednesday, November 4th, the Opificio delle Pietre Dure will also be open and free, although it is normally closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Check our Website for the complete list of State-owned places of art in our city, and their opening hours.

Please note that admission, being free, cannot be reserved in advance.
