The Oratory, dating back to 1602, was built based on a design by Matteo and Giovanni Nigetti; it is a large hall entirely covered in frescoes.
The ceiling paintings are by Giovanni Martinelli, Lorenzo Lippi, Cecco Bravo, Francesco Martinelli (known as Il Volterrano), Domenico Pugliani and Pietro Liberi, and date back to the first half of the 17th century.
Among the works in the Oratory, there is a 15th-century altar frontal by Maso Finiguerra and Francesco del Cossa on the high altar, while a large 16th-century wooden crucifix dominates the back wall.
At the rear of the Oratory is the chapel dedicated to the Blessed Founder Ippolito Galantini, who devoted his life to teaching children.
The curious name Vanchetoni derives from the habit of the brothers of the Congregation to proceed in silence (cheti).
