The International Biennial of Antiques in Florence

The International Antiques Biennale is one of the most fascinating and internationally renowned events held in Florence, taking place every two years, in even-numbered years.

The 2026 Biennale runs from 26 September to 4 October and is the 34th edition of an event that is an absolute reference for great Italian art.

A new feature of this exhibition is the strong emphasis on forging links with the local area. This has led to a collaboration with some of Florence’s most prestigious institutions, including the Fondazione CR Firenze, Casa Buonarroti, the Opificio delle Pietre Dure and the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi.

BIAF 2026 aims to refocus attention on the intrinsic values of the ancient: uniqueness, authenticity, materiality and durability. Around 80 national and international galleries are expected on the banks of the Arno, showcasing a wide range of styles and spanning a broad chronological spectrum.

Finally, it is worth noting that the Biennale takes place in a setting of exceptional beauty: Palazzo Corsini on the Arno, which is normally closed to the public and stands as a rare example of a Baroque building in the city of Florence.
