Protected natural areas

The protected area Stagni di Focognano is a complex of five lake basins. It is located in the municipality of Campi Bisenzio and is an Oasis of the WWF Italy National System.

The Oasis is not only a very interesting resting place for migratory water birds, but also a very important wintering and nesting site for various species.
