Vicarial Museum of San Martino a Gangalandi

The Church of San Martino a Gangalandi is of Romanesque origin, though the current building reflects the 15th-century remodelling carried out by Leon Battista Alberti, who designed the apse. The baptistery was frescoed around 1433 by Bicci di Lorenzo and pupils, while the baptismal font, dating to 1423, is attributed to the workshop of Lorenzo Ghiberti. The church also contains a painting on panel of Saint John the Baptist (1346) by Bernardo Daddi and various 17th- and 18th-century paintings. In adjoining rooms there are other interesting works, including the Madonna dell’Umiltà (1405–10), a youthful masterpiece by Lorenzo Monaco, and goldsmith’s art from the 14th–18th centuries.
