Extra Virgin Olive Oil Market Exhibition in Calenzano

The new oil is back, and, right on schedule, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Market Exhibition returns to Calenzano. Now in its 29th edition, it is promoted by the Municipality of Calenzano and organised by the Calenzano Tourist Association. It will take place from 7 to 9 November 2025 at the St.Art Eventi space in Via Garibaldi 7.

The programme includes a guided tour of the olive groves for children and adults, with a snack; insights into oil mills and oil analysis with a team from DAGRI at the University of Florence. The Città dell'olio association, of which the Municipality of Calenzano is a member, will also be present, along with the Calenzano Organic District and its products, on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, there will be a honey tasting with the Regional Association of Tuscan Beekeepers and a session pairing oil with dishes from local restaurants. At the exhibition, you can also learn about oil with the “vitamins of legality” from the lands liberated from the mafia in Suvignano and Corleone.

For children, there will be workshops on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, as well as visits to the Historical Costume Museum and the medieval village of Calenzano Alto. Among the workshops, there will also be one dedicated to the reuse and repair of objects and toys. On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9, in Via Brunelleschi, near the St.Art space, there will be vintage and antique markets.

Once again, this year's exhibition will be preceded by an inaugural dinner on 5 November at 8 p.m. at St.Art. On Saturday 15 November, there will be a visit to the Calenzano native olive tree collection field and a tasting of new oil paired with various types of pasta. 15 November will see the start of the 34th edition of “Ce l'ho con l'olio”, the traditional festival of eating with new oil organised by the Assieme ODV association.
