What better way to avoid summer’s heat than to dive in a fresh outdoor swimming pool? Here’s a list of them.

Let’s start from the city center: in the Cascine park there’s a beautiful pool, immersed in nature, called Pavoniere (after the two neoclassical round buildings originally created to host the peacocks or pavoni in Italian that roamed around the garden in the past). In the evening the restaurant opens, offering the possibility of enjoying a drink or dinner poolside.

Not far from the city center we find 3 more swimming pools: Bellariva’s, located in a green area full of trees along Lungarno Aldo Moro, that can be easily reached by bike, with pools for adults and for children and a private restaurant.

And moving south, in via Generale Dalla Chiesa, we find Hu Camping in Town, along the riverbank of Arno River, equipped with a pool and a restaurant, both open also to people not staying at the camping. 

In the northern part of the city find Il Poggetto,  enclosed by a garden, in a multi-functional area called Flog, where you can find tennis fields, a pizzeria, n open-air cinema, as well as a swimming pool.
