Tribute to Luciano Berio

The Amici della Musica pay tribute to Luciano Berio with a major event marking the centenary of his birth. At 11:00a.m. at the Teatro Niccolini, there will be a conference entitled Quattro passaggi  intorno alle Sequenze di Luciano Berio (Four Passages around Luciano Berio's Sequences), curated by Angela Ida De Benedictis (Paul Sacher Stiftung, Centro Studi Luciano Berio), on various aspects of the composer's work. This will be followed at 3:00 p.m. by a performance of the complete 14 Sequenze for solo instrument (and voice), with the participation of artists particularly associated with Berio. Some, such as guitarist Eliot Fisk and accordionist Teodoro Anzellotti, are the dedicatees of the works.
