Hot waters

Most of Tuscany's spa resorts are not located in the Florence metropolitan area. With one exception.

In Valdelsa, near Gambassi Terme, there are the Bollori (boiling) hypothermal springs. It is an extraordinary place, used since ancient times. The waters are not collected in pools suitable for bathing, but the mud created by the water's escape is very beneficial for skin diseases.
