Orchestra della Toscana - Glass Marcano, conductor - Michelle Candotti, piano
Classical music, opera and ballet
Three European voices, three eras, three styles that recount the evolution of orchestral form between lyricism, dance, and theater. At the heart of the program taking place at the Teatro Verdi on November 5 is Chopin's Concerto No. 1, Op. 11, written when he was only twenty years old: a piece of extraordinary cantabile, imbued with melancholy and youthful vitality.
It is performed by Michelle Candotti, an award-winning Italian talent, appreciated for her natural phrasing and precision of touch. On the podium is Glass Marcano, a young Venezuelan conductor trained in the Abreu System and winner of the La Maestra competition in Paris.
Program: Fryderyk Chopin / Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1, Op. 11 Gabriel Fauré / Pavane, Op. 50 Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky / Pulcinella, Suite for Orchestra
