Teatro Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: Le Carnaval - Mascarade, 1675

On March 7, 2026, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino will host the first modern‑day performance of Giovanni Battista Lulli’s last comédie‑ballet, Le Carnaval.

This opera‑ballet, a sort of anthology of Lully’s previous successes, will be performed in concert form by the Modo Antiquo Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Federico Maria Sardelli, with the Choir Musici del Gran Principe.
