Organ and Orchestra: double Concert at Santo Stefano al Ponte on 14 and 15 June with the Toscana Classica Orchestra.
Johannes Skudlik graduated from the University of Munich in organ performance, conducting, and sacred music. The programme features works by Ettore Bossi and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Highlights include Bossi’s Concerto for Organ and Orchestra, one of the most fascinating symphonic works ever written for the pipe organ. The programme will be completed by Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op. 48, a masterpiece of the string orchestra repertoire.
