The Egypt of Dreams | Stibbert Museum

The Stibbert Museum presents the exhibition "Dreamed Egypt" which will run from March 27 to November 1, 2026.
Giuseppe Parvis, Cabinetmaker in Cairo*, dedicated to the figure of Giuseppe Parvis, a leading exponent of Orientalist taste between the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

The Stibbert Museum exhibition reconstructs this creative world through furniture, drawings, documents, and testimonies from the cultural context in which Parvis worked, highlighting the role of the workshop as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East during the era of nineteenth-century Orientalism.
