“Puccini in Florence” is a major international choral project organized by Choralspace, taking place at the Teatro Verdi in Florence on October 3 and 4, 2026.
Under the direction of renowned conductor Simon Halsey, approximately 800 singers from different countries will gather in Florence to perform the music of Giacomo Puccini, accompanied by the Orchestra of Tuscany.
The most spectacular feature will be the arrangement of the choir: the singers will not be concentrated solely on the stage, but will also occupy the auditorium, creating an immersive 360-degree configuration. The audience will therefore be literally surrounded by voices, creating a particularly captivating acoustic and visual experience.
The project builds on Choralspace’s experience of organizing major international choral events at the Berlin Philharmonie since 2021. Following the success of its first international project abroad, held at the Musikverein in Vienna in 2025 to a completely sold-out audience, “Puccini in Florence” will be the foundation’s second major international project outside Germany and its first to feature two concerts at the Teatro Verdi.
