Buongiorno Ceramica! - ceramics festival | Sesto Fiorentino

Special Openings, tours and workshops

From 22 to 31 May, the Sestese Ceramics Archive will take centre stage at the 12th edition of Buongiorno Ceramica, the nationwide event celebrating Italian ceramics, which takes place in 60 Italian municipalities on 23 and 24 May.
The programme, promoted by the Municipality of Sesto Fiorentino with the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, includes exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and an inaugural food and wine event.

The main venue for the event will be the Sestese Ceramics Archive, which is organising an exhibition on the figure of Bacchus and, together with Spi Cgil, an exhibition of historical photographs of the Ginori Manufactory in Doccia, as well as the exhibition of tactile works ‘Vietato non toccare’ (Do Not Touch) by the Florentine Museum and Institute of Prehistory.

Workshops run by the Richard Ginori Museum and Archive Foundation of the Doccia Manufactory will take place in Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Piazza della Biblioteca Ragionieri, whilst other events will be held at the Art School, whose museum will be open to the public.

The Maninarte association is also involved, with craft workshops, and the Pro Loco will organise visits to the Etruscan tomb at Montagnola.
