The September special at the Stefano Bardini Museum

There are four events in the “Mondays in Blue 2026” series, taking place from 7 to 28 September, offering an opportunity to explore the figure of Stefano Bardini, his collections, and the world of antiques.

The series, organised by the Florence Civic Museums in collaboration with Fondazione MUS.E, takes visitors on a journey of discovery through the Stefano Bardini Museum, one of Florence’s most original and fascinating museums, renowned for its distinctive Bardini blue. The programme includes a wide range of activities for visitors: lectures, participatory experiences and living history events, offering different perspectives on the story of Bardini and the remarkable heritage he collected.

Mondays in Blue 2026 Programme

  • 7 September at 6 pm – Mario Scalini, The Bardini Arms: Market and Collecting
  • 14 September at 6 pmBiribissi, organised by Fondazione MUS.E, a playful activity for families with children
  • 21 September at 6 pm – Giulia Coco, Before Bardini: The Education and Artistic Beginnings of the Prince of Antiquarians
  • 28 September at 6 pmFace to Face with Stefano Bardini, organised by Fondazione MUS.E in collaboration with Francesco Gori. This living history experience will allow visitors to meet the “Prince of Antiquarians” in an evocative reconstruction and hear, in his own voice, stories, motivations and curiosities surrounding the creation of his extraordinary art collection. The event will take place alongside the Florence International Biennale of Antiques, strengthening the connection between Bardini and the antique-dealing tradition that continues to play an important role in the city today.

Museum Opening Hours and Booking for Lunedì nel Blu

Admission to the museum will be free from 5 pm, with last admission at 7 pm. On the occasion of the four events, the museum will remain open until 8 pm, giving visitors the opportunity to explore its spaces at a more leisurely pace and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of its galleries and distinctive blue interiors.
