The Museum of Geology and Paleontology, one of the jewels of the University Museum System, has been renewed with a strong focus on accessibility. In particular, the museum’s new entrance, featuring an accessible ramp at 6 Via G. La Pira, will be officially inaugurated.

Saturday, 20 June
9:00 am – 4:00 pm (museum closes at 5:00 pm): Free admission to the Museum of Geology and Paleontology, Via G. La Pira 6, Florence.
10:00 am – 6:00 pm: Free admission to the Botanical Garden for visitors holding the free admission ticket to the Museum of Geology and Paleontology.
10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Tactile guided tour of the Museum of Geology and Paleontology and the temporary exhibition at the Botanical Garden.
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Family activity tour with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports.
Sunday, 21 June
9:00 am – 4:00 pm (museum closes at 5:00 pm): Free admission to the Museum of Geology and Paleontology, Via G. La Pira 6, Florence.
10:00 am – 6:00 pm: Free admission to the Botanical Garden for visitors holding the free admission ticket to the Museum of Geology and Paleontology.
10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Guided tour with an Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpreter.
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Workshop for children and young people with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports.
All weekend activities are free of charge, but advance booking is required.
