INTERNO 900 – Open Studios in Florence

Special Openings, tours and workshops

Museo Novecento is pleased to present a new project developed in collaboration with the collective INTERNO – Studi Aperti in Firenze, dedicated to exploring, supporting, and promoting contemporary artistic production in Florence and its surrounding area.

Conceived by artists Mariana Ferratto, Marco Rossetti, and Alessandro Scarabello, the initiative brings together an independent collective and a museum institution, proposing a new model of dialogue between the museum and the local artistic community, based on listening, support, and participation.

Over three dates — Saturday, September 26, Sunday, September 27, and Saturday, October 2, 2026 53 artists will simultaneously open the doors of their studios, offering the public the opportunity to enter their working spaces, discover their artworks up close, and meet the artists themselves.

An opportunity to discover the vitality of Florence’s contemporary art scene through the places, practices, and people who contribute to shaping it every day.

INTERNO 900 – Open Studios in Florence

Special Openings, tours and workshops

The simultaneous opening of 53 studios offers the public an opportunity to experience artistic production as it unfolds, entering spaces that are normally not accessible and gaining an insight into the practices, research, and creative processes that often remain hidden from view.

Living and working in Florence means engaging every day with an extraordinary artistic heritage. In this context, supporting the contemporary art scene means recognising the work of artists who have chosen the city as a place for research and artistic production. Their practices, questions, and visions keep Florence a vibrant place — one that can engage with its heritage while continuing to imagine the future.
